Car Falls into River in Ararat Valley, Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports
On July 20th at 13:25, the crisis management center of the Lori regional rescue department received a report that a car had fallen into the river in Ararat Valley, with citizens inside. Rescue assistance was required to retrieve the vehicle.
A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched one operational unit to the scene. It was determined that during a river crossing, a 'JEEP' model vehicle had become trapped in the river.
Rescuers safely removed two citizens from the stranded vehicle and subsequently retrieved the car using a towing process.
