Trump Sues Wall Street Journal

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has filed a lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch, the owner of the American Wall Street Journal, as well as two of the paper's journalists.

Trump is seeking $10 million in damages over a publication that claimed he sent a congratulatory letter to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. According to the publication, the letter was accompanied by a hand-drawn image of a naked woman, and the text referenced 'common secrets.'

Trump asserts that the Wall Street Journal's publication has caused serious harm to his business reputation. Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier accused of operating a network aimed at the sexual exploitation of minors. In 2019, Epstein was arrested based on these allegations and shortly thereafter committed suicide in prison.

It is noteworthy that the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had written Epstein a 'lewd' birthday card, which said, 'Happy Birthday, and may each day be another wonderful secret.'

The paper stated that it had seen a typewritten letter signed by Trump, framed by a drawing that resembled an outline of a naked woman, which Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell included in her birthday album in 2003.

Trump denies writing the letter or creating the caricature, labeling it as 'fake, malicious, and defamatory.'
