Ruben Hakobyan Sentenced to Two Months in Detention

The court of general jurisdiction of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts has sentenced former MP Ruben Hakobyan to two months in detention. Previously, it was reported that the investigator submitted a motion to detain the former MP Hakobyan. This information was confirmed by his son, Samvel Hakobyan.

It should be noted that evidence has been gathered during a criminal investigation by the Main Department for the Investigation of Crimes Against the State, Constitutional Order, and Public Safety of the RA Investigative Committee. The facts indicate that Ruben Hakobyan, during an interview via mass media on July 1, 2025, made public calls aimed at seizing power.
