Romanos Petrosyan's Salary to Be Paid from HEC Funds
The obligation to pay a high salary to Romanos Petrosyan has been placed on the shoulders of HEC by a decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC). The decision has been published on the PSRC's website.
During the administrative proceedings initiated today against HEC by the PSRC, Romanos Petrosyan, who has been appointed as the interim manager of the company, will receive a salary that is quite high by Armenian standards, equal to that of HEC's current general director.
Furthermore, Petrosyan's salary will not be paid by the state but by HEC. "Compensation for the interim manager's activities is carried out at the expense of a licensed entity, in the amount determined by the chairman of the commission," states the decision adopted by the commission today.
It is worth noting that the Public Services Regulatory Commission has appointed Romanos Petrosyan as the interim manager of the 'Electric Networks of Armenia' company. The commission has also initiated proceedings against HEC based on a report provided by the government.
