Hungary May Consider Leaving the EU if Situation Reaches Point of No Return, Orbán Says

Hungary may consider leaving the European Union if the situation reaches a point of no return. This was stated by Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Speaking about Hungary's EU membership, he noted that there theoretically exists a certain point beyond which the sense of being a member of the union would dissipate.

According to the Prime Minister, the entire world has divided into two parts, which he refers to as the 'transatlantic divide.' He asserted that there is a progressive-liberal side characteristic of Europe and a conservative-nationalist side led by the United States.

“Europe stands for war, America for peace, and the divide is growing; the situation is unstable,” Orbán added.
