Avinyan on Participation in the Process of Freeing the Cathedral from the Catholicos

Living in hypocrisy and artificiality is very wrong; in certain cases, some truths need to be voiced and followed. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a conversation with journalists, addressing the recent events involving clergymen.

“What has been overlooked for a long time, depending on certain circumstances, sooner or later, in many cases, must come to an end regarding this hypocrisy and artificiality,” Avinyan noted.

When asked whether he would join the group since Nikol Pashinyan mentioned he would lead the process of liberating the Cathedral from the Catholicos, Avinyan replied, “I believe everyone will perform their duties in their place.”
