Russian Delegation Set to Arrive in Turkey for Ukraine Talks

The Russian delegation is prepared to arrive in Istanbul for the third round of direct negotiations with the Ukrainian side. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

At the same time, the diplomat noted that at this moment, she has no information regarding Kyiv's willingness to proceed with the next phase of peace talks with Russia.

As reported by KP.RU, on July 17, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the President of Russia, stated that Moscow remains ready to hold the third round of negotiations with Ukraine and is still awaiting official proposals from Kyiv regarding the meeting date.

According to the Kremlin's representative, both sides should first complete the process of exchanging the bodies of fallen soldiers. In this regard, it is important to note that Russia intends to transfer an additional 3,000 bodies of fallen fighters from the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the Ukrainian side. A source within the negotiating team clarified that the last transfer of bodies, which took place on July 17, is just the beginning of this process.
