New EU Sanctions Against Iran Are Illegal: Baghaei

The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, has rejected the accusations made against the Islamic Republic of Iran during the EU Council of Ministers meeting, labeling the new EU sanctions against several Iranian individuals as illegal, counterproductive, and unfounded.

Baghaei termed the allegations regarding Iran's support for terrorist activities in Europe as absurd and baseless.

He characterized the persistence of certain European governments in presenting false accusations against Iran as a blatant scheme aimed at diverting the attention of both international and domestic public opinion from those countries' systematic support for terrorism, as well as the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the wider Western Asia region.
