ARF Member Gegham Manukyan Files a Report with the Prosecutor General of Armenia

Member of the ARF Armenia Supreme Body and MP from the "Hayastan" faction Gegham Manukyan has filed a report with the Prosecutor General of Armenia regarding a crime. This was announced by the ARF office.

It has been a week since law enforcement officials seized Gegham Manukyan's personal mobile phone, which he claims contained information related to his personal and parliamentary activities. The search was carried out at an apartment officially recognized by the court as his son's residence, but law enforcement attempted to seize Manukyan's phone as well, which the court's ruling did not permit. The MP refused to hand it over.

According to Manukyan, the Human Rights Defender's office was also aware of this. However, he claims that law enforcement invited him to a separate area and forcibly took the phone from him, causing minor bodily injury.

Not only was his phone seized, but also that of his son, Taron Manukyan. Despite the fact that the criminal case is unrelated to Taron, and no evidence or object was found during the search, the phone has not been returned. It later became known that Taron Manukyan was held for 72 hours and then released without any charges.
