We Have Fundamental Security Issues, Says Pezeshkian
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, announced during today's cabinet meeting that there are "fundamental security issues" in the country that have emerged during the military clashes between Iran and Israel. His words were cited by RIA Novosti, referencing the website of the Iranian president.
“During the last war, it became clear that we have fundamental issues in the area of security. We must diagnose the problems present in the sector to minimize the damage to our country,” said Pezeshkian, according to RIA Novosti.
During the 12-day conflict with Israel, reports indicated that dozens of individuals were arrested, whom the authorities accused of collaborating with Israel. There were also reports regarding the production and use of drones for Tel Aviv, particularly for carrying out diversions in Iran.
Fox News also reported that prior to delivering a strike, Israel was able to deceitfully recruit commanders of Iran’s aerospace forces. The Iranian Fars news agency mentioned the “accuracy of the information” that Israel already possessed for carrying out an attack on the location of a meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (where Pezeshkian was present and suffered minor injuries). The agency noted that the theory of an embedded spy is being considered.
