Negotiations on the Peace Project Text Concluded; Preliminary Signing Awaits, Says Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced today during a press conference that agreements on the text of the draft treaty regarding the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been finalized, and negotiations around the text have concluded. “We have essentially begun consultations with Azerbaijan under the declared or undeclared title from that very moment, discussing 'how to move forward',” he stated.
Pashinyan emphasized that all actions will be taken with unwavering consideration of Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, legal authority, and state interests. However, he did not specify a timeline for the preliminary signing of the Peace Treaty.
“We will not leave any opportunity to move forward in the signing of the peace agreement, and we are not missing out on any,” Pashinyan added.
