Children Hospitalized Due to Snake Bites in Spitak

The Spitak Medical Center has reported that on July 16, around noon, an 11-year-old child was admitted for snakebite treatment. According to relatives, the child was bitten the previous day, but they only learned of it today and immediately transported the child to the hospital.

Upon arrival, comprehensive examinations were urgently organized at the Medical Center. The initial treatment for the snakebite wound was performed, and appropriate medical assistance was provided. The child's condition is assessed as good.

A consultation was held with the chief infectious disease specialist of the region, and relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Health, were notified. Another victim of a snakebite arrived at the medical center around 7:00 PM; in this case, a 14-year-old was bitten by a snake. All relevant organizations, including the Regional Division of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Lori Province, have been informed.

Under the instructions of Division Head Serob Gabrielyan, rescuers from Spitak have also arrived. The affected individual received necessary medical assistance, including antivenom. Citizens are advised that in any case of a snakebite, it is crucial to immediately seek medical help to receive necessary treatment, including antivenom. Self-medication is dangerous and can lead to complications.
