Businesses Operating Flower Greenhouses with State Support Facing Insolvency

Flower sellers continue to protest as the export of flowers from Armenia to Russia has been banned since June 27. Yesterday, greenhouse owners from the Zvartnots community in the Armavir region laid out flowers on the Yerevan-Armavir highway, stating that these flowers are no longer suitable for sale or export.

Earlier in June, representatives from the Ministry of Economy had met with the greenhouse owners, promising to resolve the issue as soon as possible. However, today, the greenhouse owners were once again at the State Service for Food Safety (SSFS) for a meeting with the supervisory body.

They are demanding a government clarification on why the Russian side has barred Armenian flowers from entering Russia. Details available in the video.
