Certain Interested Groups Create Obstacles in Baku-Yerevan Relations
It is no secret that there are certain forces and circles in the region that seek to disrupt the peace process and sow seeds of distrust between the parties. This was reported by APA.az, referencing the official website of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Certain interested groups, both within the region and at the international level, are not interested in establishing long-term stability. They are trying to slow down the process using various tools, including information manipulation, diplomatic pressure, provocations, or means of creating internal instability. Alongside Azerbaijan, Armenia is also well aware of all this, as well as which forces wish to do so. In this regard, there is positive progress, as this time Yerevan has demonstrated a more realistic and constructive position, avoiding the influence of such forces and being open to the peace concept proposed by Azerbaijan.
The Abu Dhabi format has essentially shown that the thesis of ‘it is impossible without a mediator,’ which has been instilled in the parties for years, has failed. The advantage of this format is that the negotiation process takes place in a more sincere environment. The parties can convey their views to each other openly and transparently, without third-party influence. Such discussions also enhance the effectiveness of negotiations.
This meeting once again proves that the regulation of relations between Baku and Yerevan does not require the participation of third parties, particularly those states that turn the process into a tool for their own geopolitical interests."
