President of the French Senate Reaffirms France's Readiness to Support Armenia

The National Assembly's Public Relations and Communication Department reports that the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the President of the Senate of the French Republic, Gérard Larcher, during a working visit to France.

Alen Simonyan thanked France for its unwavering support in defending Armenia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, economic development, and strengthening resilience, noting that Armenia highly appreciates the steps taken by fraternal France.

Gérard Larcher, in turn, reaffirmed France's readiness to continue supporting Armenia. The discussions between the parties focused on issues regarding Armenia-France and Armenia-EU relations, as well as the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia. Additionally, regional issues and the necessity of signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan were also addressed.
