SATM Addresses Flower Export Issues

The Food Safety Inspection Body (SATM) is actively engaged in addressing issues related to the export of Armenian flowers to Russia, in collaboration with its partner organization, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor). This was announced by SATM.

“Joint online monitoring measures have been conducted at flower production facilities and greenhouse farms, aiming to determine the eligibility of specific producers for exports to Russia. Currently, we have seven organizations that have been granted export permission following joint inspection oversight, while activities continue at other facilities,” the statement reads.

In the near future, a group of specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor will visit Armenia to meet with SATM inspectors to assess the greenhouse flower farms and investigate the phytosanitary situation on-site.”
