NATO Needs More Long-Range Missiles to Deter Russia
U.S. Army Major General John Rafferty has stated that the alliance needs to enhance its long-range strike capabilities to prevent possible aggression from Moscow. He noted that Russia is actively increasing its production of such missiles and investing in air defense systems. This was reported by Reuters.
The Major General highlighted that Europe is heavily reliant on the U.S. for the supply of long-range systems, and the American artillery command is already preparing for the temporary deployment of these missiles in Europe starting in 2026.
