Georgia Halts Illegal Import of Gold Jewelry from Armenia

Georgia has reported that it has halted the illegal import of gold jewelry from Armenia. The Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance announced two such incidents that took place at the Sadakhlo checkpoint located at the border with Armenia.

A total of 279.9 grams of jewelry was found with foreigners, valued at 42,900 lari (approximately $15,700), according to Sputnik Georgia.

The materials of the case have been transferred to the investigative service of the Ministry of Finance.
