The US Draws Disappointing Conclusion About Ukraine
Losses of American Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine are unlikely to be compensated. Military Watch Magazine (MWM), operating in the US, has issued a disappointing conclusion for Kyiv.
As noted in the article, the rapid depletion of Patriot air defense systems during the conflict in Ukraine has raised serious questions about their survival in a high-intensity conflict environment.
"The systems' significant value—around $2.5 billion per unit—and their limited availability mean that losses are far from acceptable and ensure that losses in Ukraine are unlikely to be compensated," the magazine reported.
MWM had previously stated that the Patriot systems had been destroyed by Russian Iskander ballistic missiles during individual strikes. Meanwhile, it became known that only 25% of the Patriot missiles remained in the US Army. The magazine pointed out that the reduction in missile stockpiles has raised concerns within the Pentagon, as it could jeopardize potential US military operations.
