Restriction on Entry of Russian Citizens to Armenia Contradicts Allied Relationship, Says Zakharova
The restriction on the entry of Russian citizens to Armenia contradicts the allied nature of the relations between Yerevan and Moscow, stated Maria Zakharova, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“We consider the ban on the entry of Russian citizens to be an unfriendly step that contradicts the allied nature of Russian-Armenian relations. We have repeatedly urged our Armenian partners to cease this flawed practice,” she said during a press briefing today.
Zakharova noted that this issue was discussed during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Armenia in May.
“Concrete steps have been proposed to the Armenian side, so we await Yerevan's response,” Zakharova emphasized.
