Israel Announces Ground Military Operation in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces has announced the commencement of a ground military operation in Lebanese territory.

According to military officials, Israeli troops have entered southern Lebanon to dismantle infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah, marking yet another almost daily violation of the ceasefire agreement with the Lebanese armed group that was established in November.

The military has stated that it has begun targeted operations aimed at destroying Hezbollah installations and preventing the restoration of the group's positions in the area.
