Macron's Wife Refuses to Hold Husband's Hand
Upon arriving in the United Kingdom, French President Emmanuel Macron reached out his hand to his wife, Brigitte Macron, as she descended from the airplane's tarmac, but she declined to grip his hand. The relevant broadcast was published by The Independent.
“The French leader was the first to descend, after which he immediately extended his hand to help his wife. According to the video, the heir to the British throne, Prince William of Wales, and his wife, Catherine (Middleton), welcomed them near the aircraft,” the newspaper reported.
It’s worth noting that earlier a video of the French president's arrival in Vietnam circulated online. The footage shows Macron's silhouette still inside the plane, at which point his wife's hand appears raised towards his face, seemingly as if to slap him.
