Israeli Prime Minister Nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has informed U.S. President Donald Trump that he has nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize, according to Associated Press reports.
The Israeli politician delivered the letter to the American leader during a meeting at the White House, stating, "At this moment, he is strengthening peace from one country to another within the region." Netanyahu emphasized that he greatly appreciates Trump's efforts toward achieving "peace and security in the world and especially in the Middle East."
Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council, expressed his opinion that Trump would not receive the Nobel Peace Prize following attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. He highlighted that Trump came to power in the U.S. as a peace-making president but soon began a new war for his country.
