Iran's Foreign Ministry on Trump's False Statements
Ofelya
The official representative of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, has refuted U.S. President Donald Trump's statement regarding a request for a meeting from the Iranian side. This information was reported by the Tasnim agency.
“There has been no request for a meeting with the American side from our end,” said Baghaei.
It is worth noting that earlier, the U.S. leader claimed that the Iranian side had requested a meeting. Trump's special envoy, Stephen Biegun, also informed journalists that the meeting could take place as early as next week.
