A Warning Issued to the Judge Deciding on the Detention of Bishop Bagrat and Mikhail Ajapahyan

The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Yerevan has issued a warning to Judge Masis Melkonyan. The Supreme Judicial Council published their decision today regarding his disciplinary accountability.

The Council decided to approve the request of the Ethics and Disciplinary Issues Committee of the General Assembly of Judges and issue a warning to Masis Melkonyan.

It is noteworthy that on June 28, a court ruling was published regarding the detention of Mikhail Archbishop Ajapahyan, the leader of the Shirak Diocese, who was arrested for two months.

Additionally, according to a statement from the Investigative Committee, participants and leaders of the “Holy Struggle” have planned terrorist activities in the Republic of Armenia. Several individuals, including former police officers and military personnel, were involved in the planning.
