Trump Realizes He Is Up Against a Powerful State, Says State Duma

State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet believes that the real reason behind U.S. President Donald Trump’s dissatisfaction stems from his realization, following a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, that he is confronting a strong Russia.

“I think the real reason for Trump’s interference is the understanding that he is dealing with a strong country and a strong president who will not yield on national interests and will not change security guarantees based on loud demands,” stated Sheremet.

Earlier, Trump had expressed his disappointment after the conversation with Putin. He also voiced dissatisfaction regarding the resolution of the situation in Ukraine.
