Russia Protests Against Sweden

The temporary chargé d'affaires of Sweden has been summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a strong protest has been lodged regarding the recent drone attack on Russia's trade representation in Stockholm. This was stated in a declaration by the Russian diplomatic agency.

"The temporary chargé d'affaires of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Russian Federation, Y. Söderberg, has been summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Swedish side has been issued a strong protest in connection with the recent attack carried out by an unidentified drone on the Russian trade representation in Stockholm during the night of July 5, during which a paint container was thrown into the territory of the Russian diplomatic mission," the statement read.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its objections and called for comprehensive measures. "We demanded that the Swedish authorities strictly adhere to their obligations under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and called for comprehensive measures to identify and hold accountable the perpetrators of systematic attacks against Russian diplomatic missions in Sweden," the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement concluded.
