Iranian President Discusses Assassination Attempt Against Him

The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has made a statement claiming that Israeli authorities attempted to assassinate him but failed. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

"Yes, they tried, but they failed," the Iranian president said.

It is noteworthy that previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had asserted that the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would "end the conflict" between the two countries. According to reports, U.S. President Donald Trump urged him not to proceed with such actions and intervened to prevent it.

In statements regarding the alleged assassination attempt, the main target was reportedly Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
