IAEA Leadership Must Be Held Accountable, Lavrov Says
The leadership of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must be held responsible for its assessments published just days before potential strikes against Iran, which many consider ambiguous. This was stated by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“First of all, the IAEA leadership must take responsibility for the assessments it publishes, those previously released, and those presented to the IAEA Board of Governors literally a few days before the aggression began. These assessments have been characterized by many as ambiguous. Unlike previous reports from the secretariat, they allow for interpretation, suggesting that Iran is not observing its obligations in good faith,” Lavrov stated.
