Death Toll Continues to Rise in Texas Floods
The death toll from the floods in Texas has reached 78, according to media reports. The hardest-hit area is Kerr County, where 68 people have lost their lives, including 28 children.
As of the evening of July 6, there are at least 41 missing persons, including 10 children. President Donald Trump has declared a state of emergency in the region.
It is noteworthy that on July 5, Texas experienced its largest flooding in the last 25 years. The Guadalupe River level rose by 8 meters within a few hours, causing extensive damage to homes and vehicles. Earlier reports had indicated 50 fatalities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has expressed condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected.
