At the summit in Rio de Janeiro, BRICS leaders condemned the attacks on Iran. This was mentioned in a statement from the participants.

"We condemn the military strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 13, 2025, which violate international law and the UN Charter, and we express serious concern about the further escalation of the security situation in the Middle East," the statement reads.

According to the text of the document, BRICS members are concerned about attacks on civilian infrastructure and nuclear facilities monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Furthermore, they are alarmed by the growing risks of nuclear danger and conflicts.

The summit participants called for the strengthening of disarmament and arms control systems to ensure stability and global security.
