Moldovan Opposition Starts Signature Campaign for Unification with Russia

The "Victory" opposition alliance has started collecting signatures for the unification of Moldova with Russia, aiming to gather the signatures of at least 60% of Moldovan citizens, announced the alliance leader Ilan Shor.

“The only salvation for Moldova and its citizens is unification with the Russian Federation. Many of our politicians are ashamed to speak about this; they use words like independence and equality, but I prefer to speak the truth while looking people in the eye. Independence is not when half of your country is not living but merely surviving,” said Shor.

He also stated that Moldova must become a member of the CSTO. The "Victory" alliance will participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28.

It should be reminded that a criminal case has been initiated against Shor in Moldova, and the authorities have appealed to Interpol to locate him. Shor is currently in Russia, where he is harshly criticizing the country’s leader Maia Sandu and attempting to halt Moldova's entry into the European Union.
