Germany's Chancellor Called to Discuss with Putin

The Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, should finally hold at least phone negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated during a press conference by Tino Chrupalla, co-chair of the Alternative for Germany party.

“We urge Friedrich Merz to finally engage in negotiations with Vladimir Putin, even if just by phone,” he said, adding, “I believe this would be an important contribution from Germany.”

Previously, Merz had stated that there is a widespread fear of war with Russia among the citizens of the country; however, he personally does not see any reasons for such concerns.
