Law Enforcement Visits Mother Cathedral, Lawyer Reports

Law enforcement officials have visited the Mother Cathedral, as reported to Aysor.am by lawyer Mihran Poghosyan, who is currently present there.

The lawyer stated that law enforcement is on the premises but has not entered the building of the Mother Cathedral. It is noteworthy that earlier, lawyer Mihran Poghosyan had reported that around 30 masked individuals had stormed the Shirak Diocese headquarters in the morning.

It is important to mention that a criminal case has been initiated against Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, the head of the Shirak Diocese. Citizens are currently near the headquarters monitoring the building, and police have detained several of them.

Reports indicate that Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan is currently at the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, participating in a Clergy Assembly.
