Trump Issues Statement
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced that Iran is ready for direct negotiations with him. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“Iran wants to talk, and I believe they would like to talk to me. And it’s time they do it. We don’t want to hurt them; we want to let them be a country again,” said the American leader during a conversation with reporters.
On July 3, Axios reported, citing sources, that U.S. Special Envoy Steve Biegun is scheduled to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Norway next week.
