Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Sends Message to Donald Trump

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to United States President Donald Trump on the occasion of the national holiday, Independence Day. The message states:

“Dear Mr. President, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Armenia, as well as my own, I warmly congratulate you and the friendly people of the United States on the occasion of the national holiday, Independence Day.

Armenia and the United States are united by the historical friendship of our peoples, a commitment to democratic principles and Christian values, as well as a steadfast dedication to freedom, dignity, and justice.

Armenia greatly values the deepening of strategic partnerships with the U.S. and the further expansion of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including trade, high technology, energy, mining, transportation, and infrastructure.

I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will elevate our relations to an even higher level, to the benefit of the peoples of Armenia and the United States.

I highly appreciate your vision to end conflicts around the world and to establish peace. I am hopeful that under your leadership, the United States will play a fundamental role in establishing the long-awaited peace and stability in the South Caucasus and ensuring prosperity.

I reaffirm the unwavering commitment of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to a peace agenda based on the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of internationally recognized borders, as well as the principles of the “Peaceful Intersection” project regarding the unblocking of regional infrastructure.
