Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has congratulated US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the occasion of US Independence Day, expressing hope that relations between Moscow and Washington will become stable and predictable in the future. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Dear Mr. Secretary, please convey my sincere congratulations to the American people on the occasion of their national holiday, Independence Day, expressing the support of the Russian Federation for their aspirations for unity and the realization of the traditional American dream. I hope that through joint efforts, our countries' relations will be strengthened on a creative vector, gaining positive stability and predictability based on mutual respect and taking into account each other's national interests, which are predetermined by history, geography, and the 'on-the-ground realities,'” Lavrov's congratulatory text states.
