Incident Revealed: Tigran Ulubabyan and One Other Person Detained

The investigation by the Lori regional investigation department of the RA Investigative Committee has revealed substantial evidence regarding a criminal case initiated during preliminary inquiries. Following investigative actions and planned, coordinated efforts by the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was established that on March 14, 2025, two individuals unlawfully entered the home of a resident of Vanadzor, identified as K.B. They pointed firearms at her and her minor child and demanded gold jewelry and money. Subsequently, K.B. retrieved seven pieces of gold jewelry from her bedroom and handed them to the assailants.

The Investigative Committee informs that during the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, public criminal prosecution was initiated against T.U. and G.P. under point 2 of part 3 of Article 252 of the Criminal Code (aiding in robbery), while G.M. was charged under point 2 of part 3 of Article 252 (robbery) and part 1 of Article 335 (illegal circulation of firearms, their essential components, military supplies, and other materials and devices).

Both T.U. and G.P. have been remanded in custody as a preventive measure. Necessary investigative actions are being conducted to locate the remaining suspect, G.M., and to apply detention as a preventive measure against him. The preliminary investigation continues.

It is worth noting that earlier, T.U.'s lawyer, R.E., organized a gathering in defense of his client, claiming that T.U. was unjustly suspected of committing a robbery.
