UN Welcomes Phone Call Between Putin and Trump, Says Official Representative

The UN has welcomed the fact that a phone call took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, announced the official representative of the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric.

It should be noted that the Russian side, providing details about the content of the phone call, also emphasized that the Russian and US presidents will continue to communicate as necessary to discuss issues of mutual interest.
