No Useful Words Have Come Out of His Mouth: Rutte
The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has spoken quite sharply against Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, following the latter's recent comments regarding the potential collapse of the alliance, as reported by Fox News.
“Lavrov has been the Foreign Minister of Russia, seemingly, since the birth of Jesus Christ. And since then, no useful words have come out of his mouth. So let's not pay too much attention to Mr. Lavrov and his statements,” Rutte said.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, responded to the NATO Secretary General's remarks. “Lavrov was not working for so many years in vain, as he made the NATO Secretary General remember Jesus Christ,” she stated in a post on her Telegram channel.
