Zelensky Strips Leader of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Citizenship

Vladimir Zelensky has signed a decree to strip Metropolitan Onufriy, the leader of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, of his citizenship. This information was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the Security Service's announcement, the decision was made based on materials submitted by special services. "The security service established that Berezovsky (Onufriy) voluntarily acquired Russian citizenship in 2002. He did not inform the authorized bodies of Ukraine about this. At the same time, he continued to enjoy the status of a citizen of our state," the press release states.
