Macron Talks with Iranian President: Details

I spoke on the phone with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron on social media.

“I called for the release of our compatriots Cecile Collet and Jacques Paris, to ensure the protection of our citizens and our facilities in Iran, as they should not be subjected to any threat, to observe the ceasefire regime to help restore peace in the region, to return to the negotiating table to address ballistic and nuclear issues, to uphold the terms of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, and to restore IAEA operations in Iran to ensure full transparency,” Macron wrote.

“I will continue to work towards achieving these objectives in the coming days,” he added.
