Away with the 'playthings': We are not puppets for you, Father Asoghik

Following the national transgression and the international significance of the aberration perpetrated by the current unlawful authorities through their faceless and characterless subordinates against the Armenian Church, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and the entire clergy, an Edmond Marukyan appears, as well as political forces engaging in a 'game'...

This was stated by Father Asoghik Karapetyan, the Director of Museums and Archives at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, on his Facebook page.

“What kind of wretched souls are you, what kind of merchants are you, what a disgusting trade are you engaging in while dragging the clergy into all of this? Listen, incompetent ones, it’s enough! It’s enough to keep invoking the name of the Catholicos of Armenia and creating the illusion that the Holy Church is the reason for this disgrace we are facing today. Have the courage and dignity to confess your incapacity and invite other competent figures who will honorably take on and execute this task. Go away, go play your 'football' elsewhere; we clergy are not your puppets, and we will not allow you to tarnish the name, legacy, and authority of the Catholicos of Armenia. Let the Nation recognize, truly recognize, who you are, and from its pure offspring bring forth loving, patriotic, and God-fearing individuals who will bear the burden of the Armenian state on their shoulders,” wrote Father Asoghik Karapetyan.
