Step by Step, They are Isolating All Ideological Leaders: Beglaryan

Former Ombudsman of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan has published a statement regarding the individuals involved in the case against Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan. He particularly noted that by arresting Bishop Bagrat, the power has shifted to Bishop Mikael, one of the most moral, wise, and responsible spiritual leaders of Armenia. They are attempting to isolate all ideological leaders step by step who could pose a threat to the anti-national and highly dangerous programs of the authorities.

“Naturally, a change of power through violence and illegal means or attempts thereof is a crime and an extremely unacceptable option for resolving existing issues. But this also applies to any authority that cannot abuse its power and unlawfully and unjustifiably use state resources to silence and punish dissenters, which is no less a grave crime,” Beglaryan wrote.

“It is evident that Bishop Mikael has not said or done anything illegal; rather, he has voiced his just and moral stance regarding the ongoing developments. I am confident the same applies to Bishop Bagrat. Thank you to all my compatriots who, through their dignified and peaceful actions, prevented the illegal attempt to arrest Bishop Mikael,” the statement concludes.
