Some NSS Officers Entered the Cathedral Grounds Through a Window

The situation in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is tense, as law enforcement is amassing new forces. Some officers from the National Security Service (NSS) entered the grounds of the Mother See through a window of the checkpoint.

Earlier, we reported that NSS special forces had entered the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin following Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, the head of the Shiraz Diocese. The bishop had announced his intention to accompany the law enforcement officials, but he instead went to the cathedral with the Catholicos.

The atmosphere remains charged as law enforcement continues to gather at the Mother See.
