At This Moment, the Republic of Armenia Has Been Detained: Tevanyan

Samvel Haroyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council's 'Mother Armenia' faction, has been detained for coming near the Investigative Committee without any demand. This was reported by Andranik Tevanyan, the leader of the 'Mother Armenia' alliance, during a conversation with NEWS.am near the ICC.

'We had called on citizens to come to the ICC to support Mikhail Srabazan and, in general, the Armenian Apostolic Church. They are detaining people here without asking questions and without any explanation. At this moment, the Republic of Armenia has been detained. The Turkish-Azerbaijani agenda is pursuing Armenia in the investigative committees, police stations, and courts. It is not a coincidence that after meeting with Erdogan, there has been a quite aggressive attack worldwide against Samvel Karapetyan, the richest Armenian. This attack on Samvel Karapetyan is not only about his business but also carries geopolitical significance and pertains to Armenia's investment image. The confiscation of HEC will lead to disgraceful consequences, including security-related repercussions; this will set a very bad precedent,' he stated.
