Zakharova Thanks Azerbaijan

Approximately 900 Russian citizens have been evacuated from Iran through Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, as reported by Ria Novosti.

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for creating conditions during the escalation of the situation and facilitating the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran and Israel.

It should be noted that following the start of Israeli missile strikes on Iran, most of the Russian citizens in the country were evacuated via the Astara border crossing on the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
