This is a Regular Repatriation Flight: Zakharova

Zakharova referred to the Il-96 "Rossiya" plane's flight to New York as a regular repatriation flight.

According to Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the flight of the Il-96 aircraft from the "Rossiya" special flight squad (SOJ) to New York is a regular repatriation flight, which is transporting new employees to the United States and will take back those returning from assignments.

"This is a regular repatriation flight. There are several of them each year. It takes new employees to Washington and New York, and on the return trip, it picks up employees returning from assignments," Zakharova noted.

It should be recalled that a Russian special flight from St. Petersburg had landed at New York's airport.
