US President Donald Trump believes that the Voice of America radio station should cease its operations. Trump made this statement on his social media page.

“Why are Republicans wanting to keep the Voice of America as a mouthpiece for the Democrats? This is a complete disaster. No Republican should vote in favor of keeping the radio station. Put an end to it,” Trump wrote.

It is noteworthy that on March 14, Trump signed an executive order that reduced the authority of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which is responsible for foreign policy propaganda through television and radio. The organization, in particular, managed the operations of state-funded Radio Free Europe and Voice of America.
