It is no secret that Turkey aims to improve its connections to Central Asia. For Armenia, which is a landlocked state, having open borders is a vital necessity. Recent events also demonstrated that our 3.5 borders were closed due to developments around Iran,” noted Vahan Kostanyan, Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister.
Kostanyan mentioned that the 'Peace Crossroads' has been presented to the Turkish side, and there is a mutual understanding that Armenia is approaching the reopening of communications constructively.
